# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It comes together faster than waiting in a cafe line and tastes just as satisfying.
  • The Milo gives it a unique malt depth that plain chocolate syrup just cant match.
  • You can make it with whatever milk you have on hand, dairy or not.
  • Its the kind of drink that feels like a treat but doesnt require any special equipment or skill.
02 -
  • If you pour the Milo mixture in before its fully dissolved, youll get gritty bits that sink to the bottom and never quite mix in.
  • Using lukewarm milk instead of cold makes the ice melt too fast and waters down the whole drink.
  • Stirring too vigorously breaks up the ice and turns it slushy instead of crisp and refreshing.
03 -
  • Whisk the Milo in a measuring cup with a spout so you can pour it cleanly over the ice without splashing.
  • Chill your glass in the freezer for five minutes before assembling, it keeps the drink colder even longer.
  • If you like it sweeter, try using chocolate oat milk instead of plain and skip the added sugar entirely.
